About Midstate
Midstate Electric Cooperative, Inc. (MEC) is a private, non-profit rural electric cooperative providing electrical power and related services to over 18,000 member/owners in parts of four Central Oregon counties: Deschutes, Klamath, Lake and Lane. MEC’s
headquarters are located at 16755 Finley Butte Road, La Pine, Oregon.
MEC’s service territory is divided into nine districts. MEC is governed by a nine-member board of directors, one from each district, elected by the members to serve a three-year term. Elections for directors take place each year at the Cooperative’s annual meeting, which is usually held in May.
