Midstate Electric Cooperative, Inc. located in the Central Oregon community of La Pine, OR (30 miles south of Bend) is a rural electric utility serving portions of four counties (Deschutes, Klamath, Lake and Lane) with over 18,000 customers. The utility seeks qualified applicants for the following position(s):

Line Superintendent


Midstate Electric Cooperative is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Line Superintendent. The individual selected reports to the Operations and Engineering Manager. Qualifications include high school education or equivalent, completed apprenticeship program, possess a Journeyman Lineperson certification and have a minimum of five years’ experience as a working foreman or supervisor in electric utility outside plant operations. Credit would be given for an AA or BA degree. Must possess or be able to obtain an Oregon Class A CDL (subject to substance abuse testing). Must possess verification of training for OSHA 1910.269 standards. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.). Knowledge of MS Scheduler, ESRI GIS software and NISC iVUE customer information system is desired. Knowledge of fiber optics, SCADA and substation maintenance is recommended. Must have the ability to work effectively and communicate clearly with consumer/members, the general public and other employees. Residency within a 20 mile radius of reporting facility is required. Position is classified as Salary/Exempt.
