Midstate Electric Cooperative, located in La Pine, Oregon is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Working Foreman. Must be a high school graduate (or equivalent) or union affiliated Journeyman Lineman Apprentice Program and possess a Journeyman Lineman Certification. Majority of experience must be in distribution overhead and underground construction operations and maintenance, and outage restoration with a preferred five years as a Journeyman Lineman. Have experience as Foreman and/or Leadman I or II or Supervisory position in the Operations Department of an electric utility. Proficiency with electronic media and software programs for mapping, SCADA, scheduling, facility inspections and service orders. Must demonstrate strong supervisory skills, initiative and work ethics, good attitude, proactive, creative, well-organized, self-starter, highly motivated and ability to work under high demand situations. Must exhibit proven problem-solving and decision-making skills, broad utility industry knowledge, ability to meet deadlines, and promote a safety culture, and creating a team player environment. Fosters a spirit of cooperation and working as a team to benefit the cooperative and membership. Must be proficient in Microsoft products, keyboarding and have knowledge of current version of MS Office. Must possess valid Oregon driver’s license (subject to substance abuse testing) and reside within 20-mile radius of reporting facility.

Qualified applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent, certified, and a graduate of a utility or union affiliated journeyman line person apprentice program or equivalent.
