At Midstate Electric, we take a different approach. When large power users request new service, they are responsible for covering the cost of the additional equipment and materials needed to bring that service online. This ensures that the expenses associated with serving these large loads are not passed on to other cooperative members, helping keep rates fair and protecting our member-owners from costs created by new large-scale developments.
By requiring large users to fund their own service upgrades we can continue providing affordable, reliable electricity to every member.
